Arduino mod. for 3.3V



In order to solve the problem of being not having the proper arduino board to do some 3.3V experiments, I decided to do some mods for my DIY serial Arduino board to make it work at 3.3V.


為了解決 3.3V 的問題, 乾脆把一片 自製的 Arduino 板開刀修改,
變成 一片純 3.3V 的 Arduino.
所以說, 多做幾片 Arduino 板子還真的是好處多多, 要動刀動槍都不用考慮太多, just do it!



First of all, I cut the 5V supply trace on the PCB.
首先, 我先將 PCB 上的 5V 輸出部分的銅線切斷.





Then I dril the through holes and install the 3.3V LDO regulator.
然後呢, 在板子上鑽了孔, 把 3.3V LDO regulator 裝上.






Solder the necessary jumper wires which make the whole circuit (except the power LED) to work with 3.3V. The 3.3V LDO gets the power from the original 5V regualtor, not form the input power (say, 9V) directly.

再來就是焊上跳線,   讓整個電路(除了電源燈外) 變成工作在 3.3V.
3.3V LDO 的電源輸入是從原來的 5V regulator 來的, 不是直接接到外部輸入電源 (9V).







The Blink sketch was downloaded and it worked!
測試時, 一樣用 Arduino 的 Blink sketch (這是 arduino 的 "hello world" --- 第一個程式),
正常工作!
